DEPARTMENT 10 - DOMESTICS

DIVISION 7 - FOODS

RULES:

  1. All entries in this department must be in place by 10:00 AM, Monday, August 13, 2007. (click here for Entry Form.) Non-Perishable entries accepted 9am - 5pm, Saturday, August 11, 2007. Judging for Non-Perishables begins 1pm, Sunday, August 12, 2007.
  2. Judging will begin Monday, August 13 at 10:30 AM.
  3. Entry fee on all items will be 10% of the first premium to be paid by share-holders as well as others.
  4. The recipe must accompany each item exhibited and be written on a 3 x 5 card. Your name must not appear on the recipe card or baked food item.
  5. All items in Division 7, Sections 1-7 and Division 6, Section 5 will be auctioned off after the 4-H Baked Food Sale on Monday, August 13. Proceeds will go to improvements at the Wayne County Fair.
  6. Cookie and candy specimens should be of uniform size.
  7. All home canning must be done in jars designed and tempered for this purpose. Jars must be sealed with correct new lids.
  8. Processing method and time must be with recipe on all canned goods.
