         2017 Miss Congeniality – Alisa Shepherd

Sylvia DeMarree, an 17 year old high school Senior at Sodus, was chosen as the 2017 Wayne County Fair Queen.  She is the daughter of Peter and Jenifer DeMarree and has 2 sisters and 1 brother. Sylvia competed among contestants ages 16-18 for her title. She is the Vice President and member of National Honor Society, plays in her high school band and marches for the Red Caps, plays soccer, golf and swims where she has broken several school records. Sylvia will be attending RIT for Actuarial Science and Applied Statistics.

First Runner Up honors went to Madison Weber of Williamson.  Madison is a 16 year old sophomore at Williamson High School and the daughter of Wade & Jen Weber.  Michelle Post of Williamson was named 2nd runner up.  Michelle is an 18 year old senior at Williamson High School and the daughter of Jeff and Michelle Post. Jessey Bruening of Macedon was named 3rd runner up.  Jessey, 17 years old attends Palmyra Macedon High School and is the daughter of Lesley Burger and Eric Bruening.

Jennifer Evans of Macedon was named 2017 Wayne County Fair Princess.  Jennifer  is a 15 year old sophomore at Palmyra Macedon High School and the daughter of Kevin and Ann Evans. She competed among contestants ages 13-15 for her title. Jennifer is a cheerleader and likes to hike, ski, cook, bake and volunteer at Open Door Mission.  Brinley Bruening, 14, is our first runner up for Princess.  Brinley is in the 8th grade Palmyra Macedon Middle School and is the daughter of Lesley Burger and Eric Bruening of Macedon. Morgan McTighe of Palmyra was named 2nd runner up.  This 15 year old sophomore is the daughter of Mike and Mary McTighe.  Freshman Olivia DeMarree was named 3rd runner up.  She is the daughter of She is the daughter of Peter and Jenifer DeMarree of Sodus.

Alisa Shepherd of Newark was voted 2017 Wayne County Fair Miss Congeniality. Alisa is a 16 year old junior at Newark High School and the daughter of Thad and Erin Shepherd.

Scholarships will be awarded to the Queen, Princess and Miss Congeniality.  The Wayne County Fair Royalty will reign over the 162nd annual Wayne County Fair August 14-19th in Palmyra.
