Director Elected Vice-President of NYSAAF - Fair Managers
Gene Slater, a Director on the Union Agricultural Society at Palmyra [aka Wayne County Fair] was elected as Vice-President of Fair Managers at the NYS Association of Agricultural Fairs annual meeting in Vernon, NY.
Wayne County Fair [part of District 7] will host the NYSAAF annual meeting in 2014.
36 Years of Dedication to the Wayne County Fair
After devoting 36 years as Superintendent of the Flowers division at the Wayne County Fair, Emmett VanderBurgh has retired. Were it not for Emmett's devotion to the fair, and the many volunteers who carry on year-after-year, the Wayne County Fair would not be the great success that it is. The countless hours spent setting up and taking down of the flower display each year is something not many people are aware of; the behind the scenes work is very time consuming. Stepping into Emmett's shoes is Sarah Hamilton, a newly elected Board of Directors' member. Thank you Sarah for taking on the task and
